Verdict

Commis D'office has been below par in two runs so far this term but returns following wind surgery and improvement is anticipated. Somekindofstar has won three times over fences, twice on soft going, but he never really got involved off this mark at Sandown last time. MONSIEUR LECOQ has been disappointing since just beaten in a Listed handicap at Ascot in the autumn but is 4lb lower now and better treated than the likes of Casa Tall and Paddy's Poem. Chic Name is a thorough stayer having a first run since pulled up in the Glenfarclas at Cheltenham two years ago.
