There's a bit of a form famine for this maiden and as those who have had a run don't look out of the ordinary so newcomer ADMIRABLE SPIRIT is given the nod on the back of his trainer's record with juvenile debutantes while Apace rates as a danger along with once raced Eshoog. The Richard Hannon team have a fine record with their juveniles this terms and the pick has plenty to like about her on paper. With a mix of speed and stamina in the pedigree this trip looks good for an opening gambit and with loads of winners in the family she can go well. Apace looks a speed horse all over, related to a listed sprint winner, who also won at two. There are plenty of other winners in the bloodline to suggest a big first outing. Eshoog ran a solid debut and looks set to come on from that. Clive Brattain has some useful youngsters this term and the booking of William Buick looks interesting. Florestans Match has also had a run, which looked good, and this trainer and jockey combination have had plenty of success over the season but Admirable Spirit is from a yard that love these races and he can add to that record.
