Ben Curtis shares the lead in the apprentice title race with Joseph O'Brien and his supporters will be expecting a big run from Zaralanta. The John Oxx-trained filly ran another fine race when a close second to Thats A Fret in a huge field at the Curragh last time but this is the first time she has raced over the minimum trip and CHEVIOT, who was just behind in third, gets the vote to reverse the form and take this. He was having his first start for new connections that day and was only caught in the final furlong of that 6f event. Cosmic Breeze wasn't far behind in sixth and, as a C&D winner, is entitled to respect as is Calm Bay, who has pace to burn and will get a good ride from Daryl Byrne. He's 15lbs higher than when last successful but looks capable of playing his part. Statue Of Dreams beat a big field here earlier this month and has run well in subsequent starts at Dundalk and Cork.
