Red Army Blues refused to settle under Johnny Murtagh and found nothing in the closing stages when sent off favourite at Dundalk on Friday. An apprentice takes over the reins today and looks to have a job on his hands. Murtagh rides Nidian here and, despite failing to get his head in front last year, he ran very well on several occasions and would have a chance if fit enough after a break. Desert Ben won this in 2008 but has only been successful once subsequently which is why he's dropped to a fair mark nowadays. Teachers Choice doesn't win often and is 8lb higher than for his latest success at Gowran in September. One Of Three made a promising reappearance at Dundalk but failed to fire when well supported at Tipperary on Thursday. Goddess Of Light ran very well on heavy ground at the Curragh two weeks ago but had a fitness advantage over FIRST IN COMMAND, who was having his first start since October and looks good enough to defy a big weight in this moderate handicap.
