Verdict

WINTER MAGIC (NAP) was always travelling like a winner at Punchestown on Thursday and though that was over a longer trip he won't be inconvenienced by stepping down and should defy a 6lb penalty. Boher Call was in good form on testing ground in the spring but shot up the weights as a consequence and hasn't quite been able to cope on his last two starts. Winning point-to-pointer White Arm had shown some potential earlier this year and will be better for his recent run at Gowran where he attracted strong support. Art Lord has a course and distance victory to his credit and is now on a lower mark despite being lightly raced under Rules while winning point-to-pointer Kilford is back over his best trip and has Donagh Meyer's claim to aid his cause. Nickname Exit was nowhere near his best at Punchestown last weekend and is better judged on his narrow defeat by Toushan at Cork.
