Verdict

AUTHORIZED TOO, a winner at Yarmouth for William Haggas, was a 40/1 chance when making his hurdling debut here last month but ran a race full of promise to finish runner-up to McKenzie's Friend and though this looks competitive he should improve enough to go one better. Paul Nicholls had the short-priced favourite behind in third that day so should know how his German import Lac Leman stands with the selection though he's taking his time to reach his peak. Draco's Code, four times a runner-up on Polytrack, has looked moderate over timber so far but winning bumper Cougar Kid did much better than expected on his hurdling debut at Kempton and is a likely improver. Jim Best has a couple of decent Flat winners entered in Echo Brava and Red Orator so both should be monitored for support.
