Verdict

Broadhurst put a moderate reappearance behind him with an emphatic victory at Dundalk and is still in the 2,000 Guineas at the Curragh. He has to concede a stone to Mere Accountant, a winner at Dundalk in November and unsuited by testing conditions at Cork on her reappearance. Fort Vega has improved with every run and stayed on strongly to lead close home over 7f at Gowran while Sea Chariot was always prominent and ran on strongly to score over that trip at Dundalk. NATIONAL EMBLEM (NAP) beat Lord Massusus at Gowran in August and that form has been boosted by the winner, who is now rated 106, so Jessica Harrington's charge is well enough handicapped to defy a long absence.
