In depth

Verdict

The three-year-old Lord Massusus is now rated 106 after his recent double, the latest success coming in a course and distance handicap under a big weight. New Energy hasn't won since his two-year-old debut and has undoubtedly been disappointing since a brilliant second place in the 2000 Guineas at the Curragh though is clear top rated here. He had Villanova Queen behind in a Leopardstown Group 3 a couple of weeks ago though the latter clearly didn't handle the heavy ground. MUTASARREF went from strength-to-strength last season culminating in a convincing Listed race victory at Cork. He made a successful reappearance last April so shouldn't take much getting ready.
