Bellakris improved with each run in her first season but didn't really impress on her reappearance at Cork. KAFTAN made her debut over 7f at Leopardstown in October and stayed on very strongly once getting the hang of the job. Her stable is in very good form as is that of Kiss For A Jewel, another who made an impressive start at Galway the same month. Both should be winning soon while the superbly-bred Magic Fountain started favourite over 7f at Leopardstown last month and, though never involved, caught the eye with a late flourish when the race was all over. Nan Yehi was also market leader for her debut at Galway and had every chance but couldn't quicken in the soft ground. Annie Pender made a nice start from a poor draw at Cork and is another to look out for in what should prove an informative maiden.
