    Verdict

A chance is taken with Time Marches On in the finale, with Crathorne, Danzatrice and Swords others that can make their presence know as events unfold. Swords is likely to be a popular choice after winning on the All Weather last time out. The four-year-old is still unexposed on turf and looks sure to be in the shake up if he handles the switch. Danzatrice was withdrawn at Ripon on Tuesday, so it remains to be seen if Chris Thornton will send the Tamure filly on the journey up from Middleham. However, she does have the ability to go close at this level, so any support in the betting ring would be dangerous to ignore. Crathorne has been busy under both codes of late and as tough as they come. Top weight does him no favours though and he needs a little luck on his side. Therefore, we prefer to go with the lightly weighted Time Marches On, who represents a yard that has done well in this type of race of late. The eight-year-old is a dour stayer and is expected to relish the return to a more appropriate trip today. Kevin Darley is showing a small profit when riding for Keith Reveley and the fact that he rides instead of the stable's apprentice is a good indication that they mean business today.
