Handicap newcomer George Adamson looks one for any shortlist given his three runs at big prices to qualify, however the drop in trip today will suit NATIVE DAME and off her light-weight and paupers' mark she is fancied to oblige. A daughter of Phoenix Stakes winner Spartacus, the selection has been dropped 9lb following two recent runs at Chepstow and Lingfield. Now dropped back to seven furlongs, she is fancied to run much better and from her good draw she looks worth chancing. The step up in distance may suit Trade Price but he needs to improve, as do Sardan Dansar and Street Spirit. Of more interest may be Jack¿s House; Frederick Tylicki takes the ride and this step back up in trip may see an improved performance although the gelding does have a poor draw to work with. A similar comment applies to Dark Moment who is drawn in stall one, whilst George Adamson needs watching in the betting. Alan Swinbank is enjoying a good June and this unexposed gelding has shown glimpses of ability in three runs to date. A drop in trip may see Royal Keva in a better light, whilst Battimore ran well in defeat when last seen and looks another interesting Irish challenger, however it is Edgar Byrne's Native Dame who is given the vote.
