MYSTIFIED is given the vote here in preference to Monte Pattino and Mayadeen who both pose a big danger. Roger Fisher's six-year-old has plenty of experience on his side and he is one of the most consistent horses in training. A decent dual performer, his recent second to Master Nimbus at Redcar suggested that this new mark of 51 should not be beyond him and he is fancied to provide another win for Simon Walker who chases his fourth Bollinger Champagne Challenge Series title. Sir Sandicliffe needs to bounce back from a poor run at Warwick (in first time blinkers; now discarded) and although he may now be well-treated, he still looks opposable. Monte Pattino has been holding his form well but may now be high enough in the weights, a comment that doesn't apply to course specialist Kyber who is now rated 53 which is 4lb lower than his highest winning mark. Mayadeen ran well behind Zefooha last time at Carlisle, form that leaves him closely matched with Monte Pattino, whilst Wotchalike hasn't won on the flat since October 2004 but any money for this potentially well-handicapped dual-performer would be of interest. This looks a good chance for Mystified to get back to winning ways.
