An interesting little opener this where one of either MAN OF GWENT or Strike Force could run away with it and it is the first mentioned who gets the nod; Insira and Ming Vase are expected to battle it out for third. The selection comes from the yard of David Evans who are doing well of late. The five-year-old travelled well in second when last seen and looked a constant threat, he has winning experience and any improvement on his last outing should see him take the honours here. Strike Force has proven a little hard to predict recently. The gelding ran in second at the last time of asking and he should be a big threat to the selection, a victory looks beyond him though and he hasn't recorded a win since September. Inspirina ran well in defeat at Chester last time, it was an encouraging return to action for the gelding and any natural improvement should see him thereabouts at the post. Ming Vase ran well when last seen but things may be difficult for him today and he'll struggle to make the places in this company. Any movement in the market for Rudry World would be interesting but for us Man of Gwent looks the likely winner.
