A tight handicap can go to Les Arcs, who gets a tentative nomination over Kirkby's Treasure, Sea Storm and Bridgewater Boys. The last named has claims on the best of his efforts and is one to monitor in the betting. Thistle also has to be given a mention, as he reverts to the Flat on a fair mark and, with his yard in good form with their runners in this code, he is also worth keeping tabs on for signs of support. Sea Storm has hit form at the right time to go close. He obviously likes this track, so it will be no surprise to see him go close. However, he does need fast ground to be seen at his best and any rain will not aid his cause. Kirkby's Treasure will be finishing strongly if he runs his usual race. However, his yard have been struggling for winners of late and he needs everything to drop just right for him. Especially now that Les Arcs is weighted to reverse the form of their last encounter. Richard Guest has placed this five-year-old to very good effect over the last year and, with conditions sure to suit, Les Arcs can make the most of the opportunity presented to him on these terms.
