        Verdict

        There would be more confidence in Palomar if he was over the jumps, but he has a moderate ability on the flat and has the benefit of the Champion-elect in the saddle. Bowdler's Magic may prefer firmer ground and has weakened over shorter distances than this, whilst Atlantic Tiger may also struggle with the trip as demonstrated at Ascot last time. There are concerns over Wicked Daze as he has looked out of sorts in his last two efforts but was in decent form over two miles prior to this and has strong claims on those runs. Bollin Felix has never won off a mark this high so the main danger may come from Graceful Descent who is just 5lb higher after staying on to win decently at Ayr last time. She is stepped-up in trip and on her most recent run it is suggested she will handle this. However, CHOOKIE HAMILTON is the tentative selection as he has a good record at the course, the increase in trip shouldn't prove a problem and the trainer has a solid strike-rate at the track.
