Smiddy Hill was good value for her win in a novice stakes race at Yarmouth last time and is taken to follow up back in a nursery at the main expense of Monashee Rose and Wonderful Mind. The last mentioned is set to go up 4lbs in future handicaps following an encouraging third at Chester last time but Tim Easterby's colt made the most of a favourable draw that day and may have been flattered by the run. A bigger threat then may come from Monashee Rose who is less exposed than most of these after just two starts, the latest of which saw her win a maiden at Carlisle. She could be anything. Top weight Oh Dara faces no easy task giving 6lbs and upwards away to her rivals and of more interest may be Alan Bailey's Wizardmicktee who has shown a consistent level of form and has the assistance of Kevin Darley. James Given's horses have been running better of late so African Gift cannot be discounted but the vote goes to Smiddy Hill, who is taken to win again.
