The final race on the card can see Ballyhurry defy topweight at the expense of a whole host of dangers including Emperor's Well, Sarraaf, Wainwright and Seattle Robber. Ballyhurry ran well in defeat at Ayr last time when not getting the best of luck in running behind Ballycroy Girl, Jim Goldie's eight-year-old going down by three-parts of a length at the finish. Four times a winner on this course in the past, including in May, she now lines up on a five-pound lower mark and should go close. Emperor's Well made all in an amateur riders' race at Beverley last time and if in the same mood can give a prominent showing. Sarraaf has been consistent enough but he has much more to do than when successful in selling company at Hamilton, while Wainwright was a beaten favourite at Ayr last time and is now upped in trip. Seattle Robber in contrast is now given two furlongs less to travel after never getting to Captain Cloudy at Folkestone. Love Angel is worth noting as she probably has more to offer, and Merlins Profit was not beaten far at Ayr. They can all have some sort of a say in matters, but we are keen on the chance of Ballhurry who has plenty in her favour.
