In depth

Verdict

Son Of Thunder and Roman In The Park could be the two to focus on here, with the selection being Son Of Thunder. The selection has been dropped two pounds in the ratings for his last run, which followed on from a course and distance win The type to improve with racing, he might have been found a good opening here and should certainly go well. Roman In The Park has proven consistent this season, winning two of her four races, although her official rating is just 42. However, she left the impression that she is capable of improvement on Turf when winning at Beverley last time and should certainly play a part today. Of the others, Petrion is improving and should appreciate the step up to a mile and William Haggas's Cobalt Blue should be capable of better but, for today, the vote goes to Son Of Thunder.
