A decent pace likely here which should suit POKFULHAM and he can pick off Veronicas Boy and First Bay. The selection tends to be a bit keen in his races so wouldn't want a dawdling pace however there look to be plenty of rivals who like to go forward. His form reads well, especially his third to Inventor, and a bold bid is expected. Strikemaster might do better now entering novice handicaps, Veronicas Boy has a tongue-tie added to cheek-pieces this afternoon and his form looks solid, whilst First Bay has achieved slightly less to date and he needs to improve for his break. Orsippus cannot be overlooked; his thirds to Kudu Country and Carlito Brigante both look rock solid and his mark of 105 is more enticing than many in the race. K'Gari may not be the most straight-forward but he has some ability; the fact that he stays two miles on the flat means than he might just find this an inadequate test however. Night Knight and Regal Lyric also appeal as two who have more to give off these opening handicap marks, however the vote goes to Pokfulham.
