In depth

Verdict

Frascati gets the narrow vote in this wide open contest with Grigorovitch and Namir heading a long list of dangers. The selection was a good second last time out behind Slip Dance in a Listed race. This represents a drop in class and under conditions that suit she need only reproduce that effort to win. Grigorovitch rates the main danger on his latest third behind Jayanjay but he just gave the impression the handicapper had caught up with him on that occasion and for that reason he is taken on. Namir was an unlucky-in-running eighth behind Pivotal's Princess last time and if this hold-up performer gets the breaks here he has definite place claims. Desperate Dan was a good second behind the well handicapped Bygone Days last time and is another with place claims but he looks vulnerable under top-weight today. Kings Gait will need to improve for first time blinkers if he is to trouble the principals but he could easily do so, while Playful Dane is sure to run his race but looks beatable over this distance. This is a very competitive contest but Frascati has plenty in her favour and just edges the vote.
