    Verdict

    Straight Gin has an official BHA rating of 44, 15lb below that of RAINBOW ORSE and another 4lb behind Little Belter. Neither of that latter pair have shown a great deal and it's potential rather than form that gets Robert Cowell's charge the verdict as he is very speedily-bred. Little Belter has a fitness advantage but ran poorly on his debut for Linda Perratt after transferring from Tom Dascombe.
