      Verdict

      Ralphy Lad went up 5lb for his victory at Southwell but easily defied the extra on soft ground at Hamilton. It's no surprise to see him coming here with a penalty and a quick hat-trick looks on the cards though the concession of 12lb to TITUS BOLT (NAP) may prove beyond him. Jim Goldie's charge loves it around here and produced his best run in October when landing a Class 3 handicap from just 4lb lower, form that would be good enough for this. Eilean Mor will have needed his run at Ayr behind Cono Zur but ran well and the winner could give the form a boost in the previous race. Jammy Moment scored over an extra quarter-mile here earlier this month but runner-up Chant is probably better over this trip, though he doesn't always find much at the business end.
