With a decent record at this track AMAZING KING should be crowned the winner of this handicap ahead of Sporting Gesture and Ballade De La Mer. Two wins from three starts is the track record of the selection and although both of those came when taking on hurdles he proved he is just a effective on the level with a win at Yarmouth on his penultimate start. He then ran well, finding just one to good, next time up under his current mark and with his liking for this venue he looks the call. Sporting Gesture has a six pounds penalty to overcome after success on his last start and although his pilot eases that with his claim it might just stop him following up. Ballade De La Mer finally showed some ability when stepped up to this sort of trip last time and given he is unexposed he could show even more here off of bottom weight. Ifatfirst is more than capable on his day but looks a little up against it under top weight so in the lucky last we like Amazing King.
