In depth

Verdict

Royal Swain has improved in two starts since taking to the level proper but unless there is money for him on his handicap bow we are happy to look elsewhere and to ANTGUA SUNRISE while Veiled Applause is also on the list. After only tasting defeat once in four starts over this trip the pick was a nice winner of a strong looking contest two starts ago. He made a decent fist off it under a revised mark last time and with a 1lb removed he should close in this company. Royal Swain was a dual bumper winner before turning his attentions to the flat. He stepped up on his debut run with a comfortable victory over this trip last time but his mark is not obviously light for his first start in a handicap. Veiled Applause wasn't beaten that far when placing off this rating the last time he was racing on the level so should get involved while Sea Land was a winner on his last start but looks a little heavy racing from out of the weights. A wide open contest this but Antigua Sunrise looks marginally the best treated.
