In depth

Verdict

Kiswahili was a welcome winner for the yard of Sir Mark Prescott when scoring at Fairyhouse last month but needs to improve again to get the better of Dancing Bay, who is preferred to Without A Trace and Hearthstead Wings. A decent dual performer, the selection has not been disgraced in better races than this in three starts on the flat this term latterly when a close fourth behind Cover Up in Newmarket's Jockey Club Cup. Without A Trace has not been at his best on a soft surface of late and may do better on today's slightly faster ground, while Kindling needs to improve and makes less appeal than stablemate Hearthstead Wings, who has been running with more consistency of late but lacks the class of the selection. Lord Mayfair looks to be out of his depth and a safer bet looks to be Dancing Bay, who is taken to open his account for the season.
