The booking of Jamie Spencer for Milton Bradley's Campeon takes the eye and he has to be respected but, along with the in-form Cerebus, he has been done few favours with a wide draw and preference is for Unlimited. The selection has not done much wrong in his last two starts and has the pace to take advantage of a favourable berth in stall three, plus the bonus of leading apprentice Saleem Golam. Oceanico Dot Com is drawn one away from Unlimited and has slipped to a winning mark but has not been showing enough of late to warrant great confidence. None are better berthed than Navigation but Tim Etherington's gelding is probably a shade high in the weights at present, while top weight Howards Princess should appreciate the drop back in trip having failed to stay seven furlongs last time but has a difficult draw to overcome. Angelofthenorth is better drawn and should the rain come she has to be respected but a safer bet looks to be Unlimited, who is taken to gain a deserved success.
