Verdict

AFRICAN STORY, who won the Burj Nahar on the card a year ago, can take this for Godolphin. He was having his first start on Dirt when disappointing behind Frankyfourfingers a month ago when Prince Bishop, also making his debut on the surface, was beaten just a head and Le Bernardin close up in third. But the winner had the benefit of an earlier run and may not be up to confirming the form as, though he's obviously taken very well to Dirt, the latter has been well beaten since. Long River is a very useful Dirt performer in the USA who is been placed at Group 1 and 2 level. He's not quite top class but, if fit enough after a long break, would be expected to go well. Storm Belt has been running well here since November and was conceding 4lb to Toolain when beating him just over a length last month, though both will need to raise their game in this company.
