Snaidhm ran well behind Mount Corkish Girl at Punchestown but didn't enjoy more testing conditions on her latest start at Fairyhouse. WHAT LIES AHEAD won a bumper in very heavy ground a year ago and the more rain the better for her. She has won since on the Flat and generally performed with credit, including her latest start over hurdles, so looks the one to be on. Deserter was unfancied for his debut in very heavy ground at Cork but created a good impression and, with that under his belt, has to be respected. Elis Gury had some very useful form on the Flat in Germany and attracted good support on his debut for Tony Mullins at Navan last month but the soft ground took its toll. He's likely to do better in time while Aloneallalone, a half-sister to a winning bumper, is one to keep an eye on in the market.
