Toushan was having just his second run over timber when fourth behind the odds-on Lockstockandbarrel at Thurles and should improve enough to get into contention. PATSIO couldn't handle two useful rivals at Naas but had the remainder well beaten and looks the safest option in a tricky maiden. Uncle Danny won a point-to-point and a bumper early last year but has disappointed so far over hurdles, despite attracting good support. He'll be winning soon and Pearl Heart showed plenty of promise on her opening run behind Some Article last month though she took a heavy fall. The Germany-bred All Summer Long had some decent form on the Flat in her native country and is one to keep an eye on while Cliffside Park, a bumper winner at Tramore in October, will have needed his reappearance over timber at Thurles last month and can get into the action. Merry Westerner, another winning bumper, didn't perform badly in a decent maiden at Punchestown and will almost certainly improve.
