Verdict

These are always difficult races to weigh up. Just Cause showed good pace from the last when scoring at Boulta and that should stand him in good stead, though testing conditions may blunt his pace. Rosstemple started odds-on for his debut at Ballinboola and duly obliged but his pedigree is all about staying. YORKHILL would have made a winning debut at Toomebridge in November but for running the wrong side of the rail before the last and he made amends at Tattersalls Farm. He's superbly bred for jumping but, now with the champion trainer, should have enough pace to make a successful debut under Rules. Delusionofgrandeur made an impressive debut at Ballinaboola in January and there was something amiss when he pulled up at Cragmore last month.
