Sole Power is comfortably the top-rated here which is hardly surprising given his two brilliant Group 1 victories at Ascot and York in mid-summer. But his form tailed off later and he arrives here without a prep run. Moviesta was a length behind him in the Nunthorpe but in front when a close third in the Prix de L'Abbaye where Sole Power was a disappointing favourite while Extortionist got even closer at York, though disappointed in two subsequent starts. AHTOUG was only beaten a head in this a year ago by the classy Shea Shea with Sole Power almost two lengths behind. The Godolphin entry has the benefit of a previous run and could put that to good advantage though Lancelot Du Lac, whom he only just beat in January, has since disappointed. Caspar Netcher makes his debut on the track and hasn't run over the minimum trip since his two-year-old days. Shea Shea was trained by Mike De Kock so he should have a good line of form for Via Africa, a regular winner at Group 1 level in his native country though not seen for almost a year.
