A modest event in which Ocarina, Caliman and Corlande are on the shortlist and we are with Ocarina. The selection won well at Musselburgh earlier in the month over 2m4f and on that evidence, he shapes as if he will get further still. Ordinarily raced up with the pace, this race does not look any better than the one that he won. Caliman cannot be fancied on his most recent starts but he was roughed off after a disappointing run in July and connections are clearly hoping to start afresh this winter. Corlande is 0 from 8 over the bigger obstacles although he has posted some fair form relative to this level. He clearly isnt the horse he was over hurdles but this isn't a strong affair. Panthers Run always threatens to win races before finding precious little when push comes to shove. Tiger Tips Lad is likely to have the front running duties this afternoon while Dillay Brook was often fancied over hurdles and is one to watch closely in the market on chasing debut. A tough race for the punters to solve and Ocarina appears the most obvious option.
