This looks a very competitive renewal of the Lincolnshire National, with few of the nine runners which can be totally ruled out; however, Granit D'Estruval has a touch of class and is probably worth another chance after his recent mishap at Sandown, so is fancied to defy topweight here. Buzybakson beat Toulouse Lautrec by two and a half lengths over today's course and distance at the beginning of the month, and on three pounds worse terms there may not be too much between them this time. Bob¿s The Business had Villair well behind when a close second to Mini Sensation over four miles at Exeter last time, so will have no problem seeing out today's trip. Fin Bec, Ardent Scout and Tyndarius are decent stayers but perhaps not as good as they once were, and along with the inconsistent Harlov are probably best overlooked. That leaves us with Ferdy Murphy¿s Granit D'Estruval, who admittedly will have to carry top weight of 11-12, but is on his day without doubt the classiest animal in the field. He proved that when winning the Irish Grand National in April, and is actually only six pounds higher in the weights today. He was traveling well when unseating Brian Harding at the half way point of a high quality race at Sandown last time, and as long as he doesn't make the same mistake here, Granit D'Estruval should be the one they all have to beat.
