Sharp Jack created a nice impression last time and is fancied to follow up in this competitive novices' hurdle, with Diamond Orchid, What Do'in and Latzod'alm all worthy of consideration. The latter ran well before making a mistake at the last at Lingfield last time, while What Do'in won on his hurdles debut at Exeter before being turned over at odds-on over three miles at Carlisle last time out. Diamond Orchid won a decent race at Ludlow last time and looks a gritty campaigner, but we just prefer the merits of Sharp Jack. He made all to win in facile fashion over two miles here last month and looks capable of a lot more. He was reported to have never been quite right last season, but on that evidence Sharp Jack looks set to make up for lost time and he is fancied to follow up in this opening contest.
