BAREN DE DOC edges preference from stablemate Picaroon, while Viable and Invisible Man are the most respected from the rest. Invisible Man showed plenty of promise during his time in France and almost got his UK career off to the flyer when second over these fences last summer. He hasn't really improved much since then, so does head back to Market Rasen with a bit to prove. Viable likes a right-handed course and, having acted well on his only previous visit to this course, a place in the frame could be a fair bet if all eight stand their ground. Picaroon has a good record over fences and, having made all to win in good style at Wetherby last month, there are solid foundations for giving him another throw of the dice. However, Baren De Doc also has a solid recent profile and, considering the mammoth burden set to be carried by the top weight, the mount of Richard Johnson has a live chance of emerging as the stable's best contender here.
