In depth

Verdict

Spencer Lea looked quite promising when scoring at Ludlow but that was almost two years ago and he may just need this. Captain Kelly, who won four races in 2013, pulled up on his return to action here last month and will probably need another run. PETROU was going on nicely at the finish when runner-up to the promising Ma Dou Fu over the minimum trip at Bangor in December and can go one better with the longer distance certain to suit. Milly Baloo gained a comfortable victory over the course and distance before finding an 11lb rise just beyond her when runner-up to Tanarpino on a return visit. She looks a big threat while Polarbrook had been in fine form before a poor run at Doncaster where he never got going. Hillview Lad's last couple of runs have offered no encouragement.
