In depth

Verdict

BUTTERCUP (NAP) had smart form at Auteuil and made an encouraging start for new connections over 2m5f at Warwick. She takes a big drop in trip but looks the type to go on to better things. Lovefromabove finished runner-up between the flags and her debut in a Worcester bumper is best ignored as she stumbled and never recovered. Her trainer has had a couple of similar winners this campaign and she looks the main threat. Midnight Tour won a Catterick bumper in March and was sent into Listed company on her return at Huntingdon in December but finished last while winning point-to-pointer Pennywell finished tailed off on her hurdling debut at Lingfield. The trio at the bottom of the card have all been beaten a long way over hurdles and will need to improve to get involved.
