In depth

Verdict

A small-but-select field for a moderate prize. The front-running Point The Way will take some catching judged on his victories at Sedgefield and Catterick where he's galloped his rivals into the ground. He was set to concede weight all-round but Megan Carberry's claim is a bonus. After impressive victories in a bumper and on his hurdling debut at Uttoxeter, Onefitzall started odds-on at Leicester but found little off the bridle and was disappointing. Tanarpino followed a comfortable success at Catterick by carrying a big weight to victory over slightly shorter here where he stayed on strongly. He's in such good form that he'll be difficult to beat but SHARPASAKNIFE looked a horse with a future when scooting up at Wetherby last month and, though taking on better opposition, can complete a double.
