Verdict

Winning point-to-pointer and hurdler PARLOUR MAID was having only her second start over fences when scoring over slightly further at Lingfield, where her stamina came into play in the closing stages. Richard Hawker's grey has softer conditions in her favour and Shane Quinlan's claim should again aid her cause. Agent Memphis went up 5lb for finishing second at Warwick in November and has struggled in her two subsequent starts and she was behind Quantum Of Solace at Ffos Las three weeks ago, though both were well beaten. Mrs Vonn had shown nothing before a much better effort at Sedgefield and she wouldn't need much more to get into contention.
