A wide-open bumper rounds off the card and as usual in these events the market will be all important but the principals look to be Northern Blaze, Great Grimsby and Laureldean Melody and the vote is given to Northern Blaze. The selection hails from the Alan Swinbank yard which has a good strike rate in these events and this North Col gelding out of 1m2f winner Blazer's Baby will not have to be anything special to make a winning debut. Great Grimsby rates the main danger as he is a Presenting gelding, related to several winners over hurdles and he should be watched in the market but the suspicion is he will be seen to better effect over a longer trip in time. Laureldean Melody is a Accordion filly, half-sister to winning jumper/bumper horse L'Idefix and hails from a predominantly flat yard so is another to monitor in the market. The remainder are bred to be suited by further or have shown very little and in a race where the market may well tell all, for the winner we return to Northern Blaze.
