Rakalackey, Montevideo and Killard Point are three against the field in a competitive handicap chase and the vote is given to Montevideo. The selection was a fair second behind the progressive Millards Lad last time out. That form looks solid and off the same mark here under his optimum conditions he looks the one to be on. Rakalackey won well last time out when beating Mr Ed with a little in hand. However this is a lot more competitive and at likely odds under his penalty he does not look any value. Killard Point is a bold jumping front-runner and he is sure to run his race but he just gave the impression the handicapper had caught up with him when second behind No Complaint last time and he is passed over with this in mind. Lawyer Des Ormeaux is another last-time-out winner that could go well but he was all out when beating Sultan Fontenaille last time and he looks vulnerable to a less exposed type. Of the remainder, Baodai is game and consistent and is sure to run his race but he is hard to win with and in a race where few can be ruled out, Montevideo gets the vote.
