Verdict

Vodka Wells will probably start favourite here off the back of a second at Carlisle but he was probably flattered by that result. Malanos will enjoy the soft ground and shouldn't be ignored and the mare Bobble Boru should be all the better for a run at Chepstow. It's exactly 12 months since BENZANNO was last in the winner's enclosure but his latest fifth at Catterick suggested he was on the way back and he could take some pegging back on this easy track if allowed an uncontested lead.
