In depth

Verdict

Le Bateau may be Flat bred but placed twice in bumpers last season for Richard Hughes and has now joined Nicky Henderson, who has a good strike-rate with his bumper horses here. Kim Bailey has a similar record and introduces the €34,000 Valirann gelding TRWYN DU, who should have a future being a half-brother to two winning hurdlers, one of which runs in the previous race. Extraordinary Man is stoutly bred while Blumen Glory placed in a point-to-point. Hartnoll Hero was fourth at Newton Abbot on debut but would need more.
