      Verdict

      TOUCHWOOD just failed to catch the winner when sent off favourite over 6f at Lingfield when giving the impression a return to today’s longer trip would suit. He looks worthy of another chance given Mutahamisa also steps up in distance fitted with headgear having failed to improve on a debut second here back in June. Of the newcomers, Elvic is a half-sister to no less than eight winners and is worth noting along with Invincible Gift, the first foal of a half-sister to the high-class Golan.
