Verdict

Danz Gift gained his seventh victory around here in March and has won from higher marks but usually needs his opening run. Pillar has been beaten into second by him on a couple of occasions but is slightly better off at the weights and arrives in good form having scored twice on the track in recent weeks and finished a close second the last twice. The first of those came last month when caught in the closing stages by Keepthebestsideout but that was over 6f and he's better over this trip and has a decent weight pull. The three-year-old WOODROW was a couple of lengths behind Pillar earlier but is 5lb better off and the champion jockey takes over the reigns so he's handed the vote. Blastofmagic was behind the selection last time but that was his first start since a break and he can get closer.
