A large field goes to post for this maiden hurdle but on closer inspection not many can be given a serious chance of winning and the principals look to be Moorlaw, Alikat and Canadian Storm and the vote goes to Moorlaw. The selection was a good second behind Wilfred last time out under similar conditions and he need only reproduce that effort to score. Alikat rates the main danger he was a fair third behind Young Elodie on his debut but disappointed in a seller behind Frambo last time and for that reason is passed over on this occasion. Canadian Storm is another worthy of respect on his debut second behind Taranai but he was disappointing behind Fire Dragon last time so can not be backed with any confidence. Norma Hill is another that has shown a modicum of ability and has place claims but may be seen to better effect over a longer trip while Poker is a flat winner who is from a shrewd yard and is worth noting in thew market but for the winner we return to Moorlaw.
