Not a strong opener which looks to be between Musical Day, Kangrina and Watchmyeyes and we will take Musical Day to score. The selection makes her fibresand debut here and while there is always the nagging doubt that she may not take to the surface, she has the form to win this if she can make a successful step up in trip. She has handled slowish going at Beverley on turf, so she should be okay here, while her fourth in a decent Newmarket nursery at the weekend would be good enough to see her prevail if she gets home here, as both breeding and her recent run suggest she will. Watchmyeyes may emerge as the main contender, but he has to give weight away to the filly, though he has posted a couple of creditable runs of late. On both occasions, on the polytrack, he finished runner-up and while he should get the trip as well, he is perhaps less certain to like the surface, so he is opposed. Of the remainder, Kangrina put up an eyecatching debut, staying on for fourth over a mile, and suggesting that the experience plus this extra furlong will stand her in good stead here if she handles the track. She can make the frame, but for the winner we take Musical Day to go in for the in form Brian Meehan yard.
