Conditions here should suit Bond City, who looks capable of a return to form to beat Countdown, Bold Minstrel and Connotation. The selection goes best at this minimum trip and handles slow ground well on turf. A winner in Class C company earlier in the season, he was not disgraced in Group 2 company at Doncaster last month and ran to a level of form in Saturday's Redcar two-year-old trophy that suggests he will be good enough here. Like the selection, Countdown makes his fibresand debut here and so we take his handling of it on trust. Sir Mark Prescott's colt enjoyed back to back wins in August, and handles softish ground well. There is not that much between he and the selection on form, but he has not been contesting such strong races and is just opposed. Bold Minstrel also goes well over this trip and handles it slow, but has not achieved the same level of form as the other pair and may have to settle for the frame, while if Connotation could improve on her Redcar win of last month then she might give Frankie Dettori a squeak of another winner. However, Bond City can out some tough experience to good use here and take this.
