      In depth

      Verdict

Saldier won twice on the Flat in France and is a dual Grade 1 winner over timber. He’s been out of form at the highest level over the winter but his trainer and rider have been in top form in bumpers recently. MYTHICAL won as a two-year-old for Ballydoyle and competed at a very high level last summer including in the Derby at Epsom and the St Leger. His close third in a Leopardstown Group 3 would see him difficult to beat and Joseph O’Brien will be keen to get on the scoresheet with him. Me Too Please followed his victory in the Grade 2 bumper at Aintree with an impressive success over 1m4f at Roscommon and is an obvious threat to all but Brogue has only had two runs since a successful debut at Cork over two years ago.
