In depth

Verdict

EMPORIO ran a fine race when fifth behind Mac Swiney in the Irish 2000 Guineas and should get off the mark here. Mataphorical couldn’t get close to the leader over 7f at Gowran but the runner-up went one better next time so the form looks strong. The remainder with experience don’t look up to the task so a newcomer may prove more of a threat. Caruso King will stay further in time but Hillcrest Avenue should be ideally suited by the trip and Surviving Murmansk has a very speedy pedigree.
